We all eat different types of food to overcome our hunger. Sometimes eating food could result in food poisoning in us due to the foods being contaminated. This food poisoning is serious case for concern and must not be treated lightly. It must be noted that bacteria are responsible for many food poisoning cases.

Washing hands thoroughly - This is very important and hands must be washed very well with soap plus water. Without washing hands the foods must not be touched as bacteria would be spread from hands into the food and cause food poisoning.
Dishcloth washing - It is important to wash the dishcloths and tea towels well. Germs would be killed by washing the dishcloth in boiling water for about 15 minutes. Hence food poisoning could be avoided.
Raw meat to be kept separate - This is very important and it plays crucial role in preventing bacteria from entering other food items like salads, fruits bread etc.
Cleaning the worktops - It also plays important role in avoiding food poisoning. Before and after preparing food the worktops must be cleaned well. More care must be given when the worktops are touched by raw meat, vegetables, raw eggs, fish etc.
Thorough cooking - This is also an important factor in avoiding food poisoning in us. It must be noted that foods like poultry, burgers, pork etc should be cooked thoroughly as it would kill bacteria present thereby food poisoning could be avoided.
Personal hygiene must - Properly cut and nails and properly tied hairs are important and it would reduce the chances of food contamination. Another important information is wearing slippers in kitchen must be avoided as it could lead to bacteria entering into the kitchen.
