Do you know about these diseases that our itching skin indicates?

Imagine a situation when you would be in an important meeting with your boss and suddenly your body starts itching. How would you feel? Very uncomfortable right!!

Many times we would have felt itching sensation in our body. Not many know that this itching of the skin is a symptom of many diseases and ailments more than a disorder in itself. Depending on the root causes the itching could be of different types. Few itches like those caused by the biting of mosquitoes, insects etc last for few minutes and other types of itching last for many days or even months together. This itching might be due to allergies etc.

These are the few diseases or ailments in us that itching indicates. They are

Indicates the presence of kidney disease - There is a direct relation between itching and kidney diseases. Kidney is one important organ in us and this kidney is responsible for filtering out toxins and waste from our system. Persons who have chronic kidney disease such as kidney failure etc have intense itching in them. The reason for this is the toxins plus wastes goes into the blood stream as the kidneys fail to do their work in these persons having kidney failures etc. This results in itching.

Liver disorders are indicated - We all know that liver is a very important organ that helps in breaking down of nutrients to provide energy to the body plus it also helps in the digestion. It is now said that if a person has itching without any reason it could also be an early symptom of liver disease.

Indicates spinal disease - Sometimes we might have itching on our back and middle back area in us and there would not be any rashes present. Then it is said that it could be a sign of spinal disease usually due to inflammation or injury of some parts of spinal cord. Pinching is got when the nerves in and around our spinal cord are damaged. This creates itching in that area.

Indicates thyroid diseases - It is known that thyroid diseases are hormonal diseases and they need treatment for long time periods. The skin itching in many persons could also be due to hormonal imbalances caused by thyroid diseases.

Menopause indication in women - This is one important indication of itching. Menopause is a natural process that takes place in the women around the age of 50. Sometimes it could take place earlier also. Hormonal changes occur during this menopause and it decreases the production of natural oils in the body. This results in dry and itchy skin.

Indicates lymphoma - Affecting the lymph nodes in our body, lymphoma is a type of blood cancer and it is usually difficult to treat this cancer. Those who have this cancer would have skin itching all over the body and rashes would not be there.

Celiac disease is indicated - Sometimes we might experience extreme itching with red coloured blisters around our knees, elbows, hairline area etc. This could be symptom of Celiac disease called ‘Dermatitis Herpetiformis’.
