These daily habits or mistakes must be avoided for our kidneys to be healthy.
Intake of salty foods:
Some foods have too much of salt content in them and these foods also have high levels of sodium. This could lead to increase in our blood pressure levels. Finally kidney gets damaged. By adding less salt and more herbs to our food the health of our kidneys could be kept well.
Excess intake of processed foods:
This is one common habit many of us have and we consume processed foods without knowing that these foods could harm our health. These foods have lots of sodium and phosphorus in them and phosphorus must be avoided by those who have kidney issues.
Drinking less water:
It is essential that we must drink enough amounts of water every day. Toxins do not get flushed out if we do not consume adequate amounts of water. Kidney stones are formed.
Smoking:
Both lungs as well as kidneys get affected because of smoking. Smoking results in protein in the urine and kidney issues occurs in us. So avoid or quit smoking.
Not sleeping well:
With increasing stress, many people dont sleep well at the night time and their kidneys get affected by this lack of good sleep. The function of our kidneys is regulated by our sleep-wake cycle.
Too much alcohol intake:
Many take alcohol these days and this is very bad for health and for the kidneys too. Chronic kidney disease is present in those who drink heavily.
