According to studies, this one minute interval training has got tremendous benefits to your body by helping your core muscles get stronger just the way your jogging session of 45 minutes would do to your body. With this, there is going to be no need to compromise on your busy schedule, and still stay healthy.
A study was conducted by university based in Canada where 25 overweighing people were analyzed. They were made to do sprints. This group was split into two. For a period of 12 weeks, the first group was told to practice intense workout such as sprint and followed by a gap of about 10 minutes. The second group was made to do low intensity brisk workouts such as jogging at any park. At the end of the test, based on muscle strength, the participants were assessed and their heart health and aerobic agility were studied. The results did not show much difference between those who did slow workout versus those who performed high intensity workouts. The entire group showed similar level of fitness.
The way in which you work out matters more than what you actually do. You will give your body even more benefits when you give it high intensity workouts and then a period of rest so that it gets refreshed in between.
Here are two exercises that can give you extraordinary benefits even if you don’t have time to hit the gym.
Stairs workout can be done anywhere anytime, be it anywhere: college, home, or anywhere. Instead of choosing the lift, opt for the staircase. This also extends your overall longevity of life.
Jump rope also requires very less time. Instead of going out for a walk or the gym, you can do this right at home. Get some exercising done and follow this by skipping for very short time of 20 seconds. Leave a gap and again follow the same three times.
