These foods must be avoided by the parents for their babies in the first year

Growth of a baby increases in the first year is well known fact. For this reason parents have to select proper food for their babies. In the first year, it is important that parents must avoid few foods for their babies. It must be taken into account that the digestive systems of the babies would not be developed well in the first year and those foods that don’t suit the babies might lead to allergies.

These are the foods we must not give the babies in their first year.

Don’t give honey:
Many parents might feel that honey is good for the babies but the truth is honey has got spores of clostridium botulinum. Point is when the baby consumes honey then the immune system of the baby might become weak plus it could lead to constipation etc in the babies.

Don’t give refined grains:
It must be noted that when compared to the refined grains whole grains are superb for the babies in the first year. By the intake of whole grains, the digestive tract of the babies could be kept in fine shape. Refined grains do not have nutrients like magnesium, calcium, dietary fibre etc that are needed for the babies in their first year.

Don’t give cow’s milk:
Who said cow’s milk would be good for the babies in their first year of growth. It is revealed that cow’s milk has got low iron content in it and it makes it difficult for the babies to get the amount of iron that is needed for their growth.

Don’t give fruit juices:
For those babies that are below 6 months, it is important to avoid 100% fruit juices as the fruit juices do not provide any nutrition for the babies in the first year.

Don’t give chocolates:
The presence of milk solids in the chocolates could cause allergies to these babies. So it is advised not to give chocolates to the babies in their first year.

Don’t give nuts:
This is also one important food that we must not give to the babies in the first year. It is said that babies have high risk of getting nut based allergies. It is important to avoid giving peanut butter or whole peanuts etc to the babies.

Don’t give eggs:
It must be noted that parents must not give their babies eggs in their first year of growth. The eggs might lead to allergies in the babies.

Don’t give berries:
There are many berries like blackberries, blueberries, strawberries etc is known. It is said that babies in their first year must not be given thesese berries and other citrus fruits that are acidic in nature as it could result in stomach upset in the babies.
