Belly fat is widespread but bloating is localized:
It is said that physical appearance is the best way to identify belly fat and bloating. In case of belly fat, the bulging is not only limited to stomach but also to other body parts. This is due to accumulation of excess fat. In case of bloating, just the stomach bulges out due to excess gas formation.
Belly fat is spongy but bloating is tight:
Here, the stomach is pressed with the fingers. If the stomach is soft then it shows the accumulation of fat or belly fat in us. If the stomach is tight, then it is bloating. Point is the disordered reflex control of the abdomen and diaphragmatic muscles leads to tightness in the abdominal muscles of those with bloating issue.
Belly fat is constant but bloating fluctuates:
In the case of belly fat, the stomach size remains constant as the stomach is building up fats and it take time to decrease. In case of bloating, the stomach size keeps on fluctuating throughout the day and comes to normal within a day.
Belly fat painless, bloating painful:
The fact is when we press our bulging stomach and get pain then it is due to bloating. In case of belly fat, there would not be any pain when we press the bulging stomach.
