Some of us have a routine of monthly visits to beauty parlours for facials and skin maintenance. However, a solid majority of us may not have the time for this engagement! There is no necessity either for this – there are simple and easy steps to get ‘facials’ done at one’s home itself!

Red Pumpkin: Among the vegetables, ‘red pumpkin’ is rich in vitamins. Preparing a ‘face-mask’ using this red pumpkin and applying the same will provide the skin with all the necessary vitamins for the skin and it will also enhance the colour and lustre of the skin! Make a paste of the red pumpkin after removing the skin and apply to the face, leave for some time and then wash the face.

Lemon Juice: Make a mix of 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1 tablespoon sugar, and half-a-tablespoon of honey in a smooth paste form and apply on the face. Leave for some time and then wipe the face with a cotton cloth

Green Tea: Green tea helps maintain the skin soft and honey acts as a bleaching agent. So, making a mix of these 2 items – green tea & honey – and applying to the face will enhance the skin surface and lustre.

Grape Juice: Make a mix of grape juice and honey and apply as a facial mask. This will cure the skin-marks and scars due to pimples and help maintain beautiful and soft skin.

Chocolate: Chocolate is excellent for the skin.  However, persons with sensitive skin may better avoid chocolate face-mask. This is because the chocolate face-mask tends to render the skin dry and causes itching sensation as well!
