After a long sweat session, it is not unusual to get headaches!!
The adrenaline rush which we get after doing exercises is unbelievable and the majority of us like it. Point is that a person must stop doing exercises or workouts if he or she gets headaches after exercising. After cardio sessions, many feel pain on one side of their head or experience pounding headaches.
The throbbing head pain experienced by many after exercises or workouts could be due to these reasons
Due to dehydration:
This could be the cause for the throbbing pain on both sides of the head after exercising. It is a known fact that dehydration takes place when the body loses more fluids than it should. The sweat that comes out while exercising is also a sign of dehydration. This issue could be avoided by consuming lots of fluids like water etc.
Due to sun exposure:
Headaches could be triggered when a person runs or walks under the sun. By wearing sunglasses and a hat, we could protect our eyes and head respectively while doing these above said exercises under the sun.
Low blood sugar:
Intense workouts could lead to low blood sugar levels in a person and this is called hypoglycaemia. This could also trigger headaches. It is important to eat pre-workout meals like bananas/nuts to prevent such conditions.
Poor form:
Not many know that poor form while exercising could lead to muscle tension and then to headaches. This could be due to more usage of neck and shoulder muscles.
