Many people snore loudly when they sleep and this snoring can be due to various reasons like stress, excess exhaustion or even due to a cold. The truth is that the persons who snore won’t know about their snoring issue unless someone tells them. Just when snoring occurs once in a while, then it is okay but when it occurs frequently this issue must be addressed as soon as possible. Information is that snoring refers to the harsh or hoarse sound that occurs when air flows past the relaxed tissues in the neck. Many research studies in the past have shown that excessive snoring is linked to many health issues.

If a person snores loudly and frequently then he or she might have these health issues in them, please take care.

Stroke:

Sleep studies have brought to light about the relation that exists between the snoring intensity and risk of getting carotid atherosclerosis. This is a condition where arteries in the neck become narrowed due to the accumulation of plaque. It is true that when left untreated then it might lead to stroke. The shocking piece of information is that the louder and longer a person snores every night then he or she would suffer a stroke.

Arrhythmia:

Those people who are prone to long term snoring could have arrhythmia or irregular heartbeats in them.  Repeat episodes of atrial fibrillation might occur in those who snore while sleeping in the night time. This atrial fibrillation is one common form of arrhythmia.

Nocturia:

Nocturia refers to a condition where a person would get up more than two times in the night while sleeping for passing urine. It is worthy to note that this nocturia is often linked with loss of bladder control. In both men as well as in the women, nocturia is associated with snoring habits. Those men above the age of 55 who wake up at night more than2 times might have obstructive sleep apnea.

Anxiety or depression:

Loud snoring might also lead to anxiety or depression and these issues could be serious and must be treated compulsorily or else they might create issues in the normal life of a person.

Headaches:

It is common to see loud snoring persons waking up in the morning with headaches. From the recent study that was conducted in 268 snoring persons it was concluded that these persons are more likely to have headaches in the morning.

Being overweight:

Snoring would be more intense in those who are overweight and overweight persons are more likely to have snoring issue. The reason is that the presence of extra fat that is accumulated around the neck would prevent the overweight persons from breathing properly in the night time.
