Be careful about these side effects of consuming ginger!!

Majority of us would have known about several health benefits of consuming ginger such as control of BP, control of sugar levels, relief from inflammation and pain etc.

For many decades, many of us have been using ginger both as a kitchen ingredient as well as a medicine. This powerful herb has the capacity to treat health issues effectively. The flavour of this magical herb is superb.

Not many of us know that consuming ginger in excess amounts could also result in some health issues.

Several side effects that we could get due to excessive intake of ginger are

Leads to diarrhoea:
This is one most common health issue due to excess intake of ginger. By consuming ginger, there would be acceleration of passage of food and stools through the intestines. This would lead to restlessness, weakness, huge discomfort etc in us.

Not safe during pregnancy:
Pregnant women could get miscarriage if they consume ginger in excess. Therefore, those women who are pregnant must take enough care while consuming ginger.

Increases bleeding:
The anti platelet property of ginger is the main reason why excess intake of ginger results in more bleeding. It must be noted that when ginger is consumed along with clove, garlic etc there are more chances of excess bleeding.

Heart issues:
Persons who take medicines for their blood pressure must avoid consuming excess ginger. Heart conditions would get aggravated by intake of excess ginger and this would then lead to irregularities in heartbeat.

Cause gas and bloating:
When we take ginger in excess amounts, then our upper digestive system would get affected. By this, the person would have gas and bloating issues etc.

Not good for stomach:
It is true that when we consume ginger in an empty stomach then it could lead to gastric stimulation in us. This would result in digestive distress and stomach upset issues etc.

Mouth irritation:
Some food items when consumed by us could lead to an allergy in us and the example is ginger. Intake of ginger could lead to itching in the mouth. In some persons, intake of excess ginger might even lead to mouth swelling and tingling etc.
