It is 100% true that whether you are young or old, male or female, if you are sexually active then you could transmit STI or sexually transmitted infections from one to another.
Each year, there are estimated 374 million new infections with 1 out of 4 curable STIs. This was according to WHO. The global health agency has brought to light that every year HPV or human papillomavirus causes more than 311000 cervical based cancer deaths. It is noteoworthy that STI get transmitted from one to another by emans of sexual contacts.
Blood, semen and vaginal/ other body fluids play a huge role in transmission of the STIs ( caused by virus/bacteria/parasites etc) from one person to another. The STIs affect many silently and they do not get diagnosed in the early stage itself.It is the asymptomatic nature of the STDs that make them more dangerous.

Syphilis:
Sexually active persons migth have got affected with syphilis but they might not even know it. Truth is that the syphilis condition doesn`t show symptoms. It has been brought out by some researchers that syphilis would remain in the body and cause issues until it reaches the next levels and start showing symptoms. It is caused by the bacteria treponema pallidum. The persons having primary syphilis would have painless sores on their genitals, rectum, tongue etc.
Chlamydia:
This is another sexually transmitetd infection in humans and is transmitted from one person to another through vaginal sex or oral sex etc. Persons with this infection would have pain while passing urine, pain during sex, vaginal discharge, bleeding after sex etc. It is shocking to note that pregnant mothers with this infection could pass this infection to their babies also. Many sexually active men could have this infection in them for years together without even knowing that it is present in them.
Gonorrhoea:
A sexually transmitted infection that occurs due to bacteria Neisseria gonorrhoea is gonorrhoea. Women with this infection would have increased vaginal discharge, pain while urinatiing, bleeding after sexual activity and pain in their abdomen etc. This infection can occur in both males and females .
Mycoplasma genitalium:
On the mucous epithelial cells of the human urinary tract and in the genital tract of humans would be present mycoplasma genitalium bacteria. It is a type of sexually transmitted infection. Various symptoms are watery discharge from peninis, burning sensation in penis during urination, infection or urethra etc. It must be noted that this infection might be present in many sexually active persons for years together before symptoms starts appearing.
