Fever would make us feel very dull and exhausted. Mostly fevers would last for 3 to 4 days and sometimes even 10 days especially in the case of Dengue fever etc. It is important to note that fever refers to abnormally high body temperature that could lead to symptoms like shivering, headache etc. To replenish the nutrients that are lost plus for our overall health to be good, it is necessary that we must eat a balanced diet after recovering from the fever.
Various foods we must consume after recovering from fever are
Intake of khichdi:
Consuming khichdi is good after recovering from fever. Point is that khichdi is a good source of carbohydrates and proteins etc and it has rice and lentils etc. Eating khichdi would be gentle on the stomach.
Intake of dahl:
Our gut health would get better by consuming dahl. Point is that dahl is cooling and it would calm down the digestive system.
Intake of vegetable dalia:
It is good to eat dalia after a fever as it is highly nutritious and easily digestible. Being rich in fibres, vitamins etc, it would provide a wholesome meal after recovery.

A natural electrolyte rich beverage that helps in hydration and replenishing lost fluids during a fever is coconut water.
Intake of banana:
It must be noted that bananas are rich in potassium. Hence, bananas must be consumed by the person after recovering from fever as he or she would have lost potassium during fever.
Intake of pomegranates:
Intake of pomegranates after fever is good as these are rich in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals etc.
Intake of ginger tea:
The digestive system would get smoothened by consuming ginger tea having anti-inflammatory properties.
