The winter season is coming to a close now and summer season will be starting. The mercury would be soaring. At this point of time of seasonal change from winter to summer, we must take care of our body even more as the seasonal change would bring many health issues to us. There would be some shift in the environmental conditions as winter gives way to the summer season. It is worth mentioning that the pollen levels in the air would go up. This would result in allergies to many. Our gut health would also go down in this situation.
Various health issues we could get due to seasonal change from winter to summer are
Allergies:
One health issue many get due to transition from winter to summer would be allergy. Pollen levels would increase in the air and it would trigger allergies in some persons. The persons would have symptoms like sneezing, nasal congestion, itchy eyes etc.
Dehydration:
There would be more risk of getting dehydrated as the temperatures increase in the summer season. Through sweating, we would lose lots of fluids at this time. It is necessary that we must stay hydrated throughout the day.
Sunburns, skin issues etc:
While spending time outdoors in the summer season would be good for our health as we could get vitamin D from sunlight, it would also lead to issues like sunburns, premature ageing and more chances of skin cancer etc. So, please take care and use sunscreen with appropriate SPF etc.
Respiratory infections:
It is noteworthy that the virus would thrive in the changing weather and we could get respiratory issues when the temperature fluctuates during the transition from winter to summer. It would be possible to lower the chance of getting respiratory issues by practising good hygiene.
Seasonal affective disorder or SAD:
Seasonal change from winter to summer could lead to SAD or seasonal affective disorder in certain individuals. Point is that the change in the daylight patterns and increased exposure to sunlight could affect the mood and sleeping patterns. There would be some changes in the overall well being in those who are sensitive to these changes.
