Ways to reduce weight for women

  • Folic acid is very essential for women’s bodies- especially more so for pregnant women. Orange and ‘unchaffed’ rice are good for this. Carrot juice also contains folic acid. Tablets can be taen as per doctor’s advice.
  • Salt & sweet should be reduced to the minimum in the diet.
  • Most women suffer from anaemia. Tiredness, giddiness, headache, and lethargy are the major symptoms for anaemia. Anaemia also causes falling of hair. Iron is an essential for this problem. Liver, greens, gooseberries, and grapes contain iron. Tablets can be taken as per medical advice. Cooking in iron vessels is recommended.
  • Body acidity should be regulated. Alcoholic drinks, caffeine, and nicotine intake increases acidity level. Non-vegetarian food, especially meat, increases acidity. It is better to avoid meat and take more vegetables.
  • Healthy teeth are vital for good health. Brushing twice in a day is a must. The brush must be replaced regularly. Carrot, apple, and orange are good for teeth health. The fibre required for the body can be available only if 250 grams of fruits and vegetables are eaten daily.
  • Women tend to avoid fat. However, good fat is essential for better health. Fats help maintain and operate 60% of the brain cells. Avoid only items which contain harmful fat like ‘vanaspati (fortified vegetable oil)’.
  • Do not used recycled oil. Almond oil, Coconut Oil, and Olive oil are good for the body. If 2 to 3 tablespoons of olive oil is taken every week, it will help skin health. Fat intake need not be too high. However, low intake of fat will affect the body.
  • Do not avoid eating to reduce weight. No short routes can help weight reduction. Avoiding food will affect the metabolism. Also, it will create severe digestion problems. Hence, it is better to take proper methods to reduce weight.
