As the central government has decided to increase the taxes on financial services to 18 percent in the proposed GST (Goods and Services Tax), the banking charges for transactions will also go up.
GST is set to be implemented throughout the country from 1st July. A detailed meeting was held regarding fixing the percentage tax for different items. In this meeting, the prices (Taxes) for 1211 items were fixed.
