Indian Weather Bureau has reported that there are prospects of heavier rain than usual in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Jammu and Kashmir from 4th October to 10th October.

The state of Tamil Nadu is 10% rain deficient at preset. However, during the last 24 hours, Tamil Nadu received widespread rain and thundershower activity especially over the southern parts.

The Indian Meteorological Centre has informed that there are strong prospects of heavy to very heavy rains in the districts of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Puducherry from 26th September to 30th September.

Cyclonic format hs developed in the upper layers of the atmosphere over the southeast Bay of Bengal. Due to this and the phenomenon of the thermal convection, there are prospects of heavy rains.
