Prospects of rain today in Chennai (TN Weatherman)
Chennai and surrounding areas will see another day of rains today (evening / night) and as expected Rains slows down in Wayanad in Kerala and Kodagu in Karnataka (both are cauvery catchments).

Prospects of heavy rains in 5 districts in the state
The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that as the southwest monsoon rainy season has intensified, there are strong prospects of heavy rain to very heavy rains in the next 24 hours in the 5 Tamil Nadu districts.

Heavy rains expected today in the Ghat areas (TN Weatherman)
Mini wet spell at Cauvery Catchment and Ghat regions of Valparai and Nilgiris in Tamil Nadu, and today too heavy rains can be expected in the Ghat areas of Valparai, Nilgiris, Theni and Kanyakumari.
