Rains generally remain scanty over the Southern Peninsular India, including Tamil Nadu during the months of January and February. March too follows similar footprints with slight improvement.

In the months of January and February, rains remained very scanty over the entire Southern Peninsula. Situation was no different as the first 10 days of March also remained dry and warm for almost all the southern states.

Dry and hot weather will continue over most parts of South India till March 8. On March 9 - 11 isolated rain activities are possible over South Tamil Nadu and parts of Kerala.
