The low pressure area formed in Bay of Bengal continues to move westward. This system has already given moderate to heavy rainfall over Andaman and Nicobar Islands during the initial days of its formation.

As anticipated by Skymet Weather, isolated rainfall activity was recorded in some parts of Chennai during the last 24 hours. Presently, the low-pressure area which is persisting over Central Bay of Bengal.

Chennai rains have been on the back foot for a long time now. So much so that the city has been witnessing dry weather conditions for the past two days. In fact, even before this, Chennai has only been witnessing.

Chennai rains have once again come on the backseat as dry weather conditions have taken the driver seat for some time. In fact, only light rainfall has been witnessed over the region in the past few days.

The low pressure area that has been persisting over Gulf of Thailand is now seen over Andaman Sea. As predicted by Skymet Weather, the system has been moving in westerly direction towards the Indian waters.

November started on a rainy note, bringing back the horror of 2015 floods. In fact, city had recorded over 90% of its monthly average rainfall in the first four days of the month itself.

Coastal Tamil Nadu has been witnessing on and off rains for the past few days. Last 24 hours were no different and coastal did record light rains, with one or two pockets recording some moderate showers.
