Chennai city received 16 cm of rainfall within a few hours of rain!
Tamil Nadu Governments Disaster Management Team has reported that Chennai Metro City has received 16 cm of rainfall within only a few hours of rain.

Schools & colleges remain closed on Wednesday
Chennai is presently receiving heavy rainfall and the same is expected tomorrow as well. District collectors in Chennai , Tiruvallur & Kanchipuram districts have declared holiday for all schools and colleges tomorrow.

The Director of Chennai Meteorological Centre, Mr. Ramanan, informed that a new low pressure zone has formed in southwest Bay of Bengal near Sri Lanka.
