This is just the month of March and already Vellore near Chennai has touched 40 degree Celsius. This could be the wakeup call for the residents. It is now believed that this upcoming summer could be harsh on the public.
Yesterday, it was hot in Chennai also with Nungambakkam recording 36.5 degree Celsius and Meenambakkam recording 38.7 degree Celsius. Now, many districts in TN have been reeling under searing heat as March is slowly coming to an end.
At a few locations in TN, there would be a gradual increase in the temperature by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius and this was as per the Metrological dept. It is now brought out that for the next 2 days there could be heat and dry weather prevailing in TN, Karaikal and Puducherry.
In a few pockets in TN, due to humid air and high temperature, there could be hot and uncomfortable weather on 29th of March. The Met dept revealed that on 31st of March and on 1st of April there could be a slight dip in the maximum temperatures.
Yesterday other districts in TN that recorded high temperatures were Namakkal, Tirupathur, Karur with 39 degree Celsius.
