Additional Entry Opened at Egmore and Washermenpet Metro Stations
Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has taken another step to enhance commuter convenience by opening additional entry points at Egmore and Washermenpet Metro Stations. The move aims to cater to the growing number of passengers and ensure smoother access to the metro facilities.
The newly inaugurated entry points are equipped with modern amenities, including lifts and escalators, to facilitate hassle-free movement for all, especially senior citizens and people with disabilities.
The additional entry was officially inaugurated on December 2, 2024, by Thiru Gopinath Mallya, Chief Advisor (Operation and Maintenance) of CMRL, in the presence of senior officials and staff. With these new entries, passengers can now enjoy improved accessibility and reduced congestion during peak hours.
