It is true that the Omicron variant of Coronavirus has been causing many to worry now due to its rapid spreading nature.
Now, WHO or World Health organization has warned that the number of persons affected with this variant would increase and more patients would be admitted to the hospitals.
It is well known that this Omicron variant was first found in South Africa and since then it has spread to many other countries in a short period of time. Many health experts were of the view that of all the variants of Coronavirus that have been identified this new Omicron variant is deadly due to its rapid spreading nature. Till now, in 57 counties, this new Omicron variant has been detected is known to us. The WHO has mentioned that the number of patients admitted to the hospitals would also increase.
It was brought out by the release from World Health Organization that even if the seriousness of Omicron variant is equal to or lesser than that of delta variant then also more number of patients would be admitted to the hospitals for treatment. As per the release, there would be some time lag between increase in vulnerability and increase in the number of deaths.
