What would you do to watch your favorite heroes on the big screen?
Many film goers would go to the theaters and movie halls very early in the morning to watch their favorite actors in action on the big screen. The film goers would wait patiently in the long serpentine queues to get tickets to watch their favorite actors. This has been going on for many decades.
Now, many movie goers (who have hesitated to get vaccinated for Covid-19 infection for some reason or the other) have got vaccinated just for the sake of watching their favorite stars. Unbelievable isnt it!!
It is now said that the government of Tamil Nadu`s order to restrict those who have not got vaccinated for Coivid-19 infection has been making a huge impact on many. It is well known that TN government has been coming out with several programmes to remove hesitancy among people regarding vaccination and allowing only those who have got vaccinated inside the theaters etc is one such.
According to a resident belonging to Anna Nagar it was clear that she was not allowed inside a popular mall as she was not vaccinated for Covid-19 infection. Truth is that she and others took vaccination on the same day to watch a film inside the mall.
There are many who have been hesitant to get vaccine shots due to some unproven beliefs. In this regard, a resident of Vadapalani mentioned that he took vaccination secretly without telling his family just to watch a film with his friends.
Information gathered is that inspite of the government repeatedly saying that vaccination would not cause any issue to the persons, many now are hesitant to get vaccinated. It must be noted that many others who have been affected by Covid-19 infection are also hesitating to get vaccinated because they were unsure of when to get vaccinated.
It was later brought out by an activist from Perumbur that the government must mandate a complete vaccination certificate for entry to public places like malls, restaurants etc.
Vaccination in many rural places In Tamil Nadu has been poor and many have not yet got vaccinated. It is learnt that the state government on Saturday has announced that village wise vaccination camps would be organized in Tamil Nadu. This would make many now in the rural places to get vaccinated.
In the state of Tamil Nadu, at present, 84.2% have received their first vaccination doses and 54.7% have received their second vaccination doses. It was pointed out by an officer belonging to the health department that for the vaccination programme to be successful people`s trust on the vaccines was very important. He added that it was the ability and responsibility of the government to communicate the benefits of vaccination to the publicic.
