Heavy Rainfall Alert: Delta Districts to Brace for Extreme Weather
According to Tamil Nadu Weatherman, the Delta belt comprising Nagapattinam, Tiruvarur, Karaikal, Thanjavur, Mayiladuthurai, and Cuddalore should prepare for very heavy to extreme rainfall on November 26th and 27th. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) is expected to issue a Red Alert for these districts soon.
November 25th: Light to moderate rainfall is expected.
November 26th and 27th: Very heavy to extreme rainfall forecasted.
Residents are advised to stay cautious and take necessary safety measures.
ECMWF: The system is expected to remain a depression and crash into Tamil Nadu.
GFS and IMD Models: Indicate the system may intensify into a cyclone and move towards Burma via Sri Lanka.
