Chennai Metro Sets New Record with Over 9.5 Million Passengers in August 2024!
Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) set a new record in August 2024 with 9,543,625 passengers, the highest since the Metro`s inception. This marks an increase of 8,606 passengers from July 2024. August 14, 2024, saw the highest single-day passenger count of 369,547.
Monthly passenger statistics for 2024 are:

• February: 8,615,008
• March: 8,682,457
• April: 8,087,712
• May: 8,421,072
• June: 8,433,837
• July: 9,535,019
• August: 9,543,625
