Yesterday, 4TH November, the chief minister of TN Mr. M.K. Stalin took many by surprise when he launched Mudhalvar Padaippagam in Jaganathan Street in Agaram in the Kolathur constituency. It is learnt that this newly launched first of its kind facility in TN has been developed by GCC in association with CMDA.
Objective:
The objective behind this new launch was to help the entrepreneurs and the students who prepare for the competitive exams.
It must be taken into account that Mudhalvar Padaippagam is a three floor facility and it would operate as co-working space for the budding entrepreneurs and learning space for students. It would have the BEST in-class infrastructure. At any given time, this centre could accommodate as many as 51 persons. Those students who prepare for competitive exams like TNPSC, UPSC etc could make use of the textbooks available at this facility in Kolathur.
To enhance the studying experience of the students, the centre has got a computer and internet facility also in addition to the furniture and peaceful ambiance etc.
Information is that the floor has been developed as a co-working space and it could accommodate 38 persons at a given time. Support would be provided to both men and women who are unable to start their businesses because of space issues. Three conference rooms are present in the co-working space.
Time of opening and closing etc:
From 6am till 11pm the centre would remain open on all days. It is said that the internet facility here could be accessed by paying Rs 5 per person through GCC website. Cafeteria are also available here for the people.
The cost of co-working space at this centre is only one third of co-working spaces available in other parts of Chennai. This was mentioned by a representative of a private firm. He added that booking the co-working space online was very easy.
