Important details about the job fair for researchers organised by IIT Madras now!!
One of the premier educational institutions across India is Indian Institute of Technology, Madras or IITM.
The important piece of news is that from 27th March to 30th March IITM would be organising a job fair for the researchers in India during the All India Research Scholars Summit or AIRSS 2025 conducted on the campus. It is worth mentioning here that the second edition of the annual event would be dedicated to fostering research collaborations with the industry.
It was brought out by a release from IITM that the event would bring together various important personalities such as scholars, academicians, industry leaders, innovators from diverse fields across India. Information collected is that about 30% of all the participants were from the Humanities department. To coordinate the job fair, the institute is working with the industry.
The release mentioned that this summit would be the largest of its kind and would be run by the students. And it would be exclusively for the research scholars. Point is that the event on 27th March was dedicated to Women Empowerment Day. Various contributions of women to STEM fields were highlighted.
Eatons Pratibha Awards:
Multi- national intelligent power management company Eaton has launched Eatons Prathibha Awards. Nine female students from IITM would be recognised and each one of these students would get Rs 1.25 lakhs.
It was mentioned by the IITM director Mr. V. Kamakoti that for Vikshit Bharat 2047 it is important that the state of art research is pursued in India. He added that it would create technological solutions for a diverse set of problems faced by the Indians. He concluded that this summit would lead to strong research collaborations among the vibrant research community.
According to Mr. N. Subramanian, executive director of the Society for Electronic Transactions and Society or ETS, many innovations and transformations are taking place in the society. Irrespective of the domains, the entire innovation system is rapidly advancing. It must be noted that initial success and promising technologies in Quantum computing and cyber security were major developments.
