As many as 40 post graduate or PG teachers would undergo training on several subjects and the training would take place from 5th to 16th of May. This would be for the academic year 2025-26. This was mentioned by SCERT or State Council of Educational Research and Training. Information is that the orientation training would be held at DPI campus.
On 5th and 6th May, accountancy and economics training would be held and physics and commerce training would be held on 7th and 8th May. It is learnt that on 13th and 14th May chemistry and mathematics training would be held. On 15th and 16th May, training would be held for the PG teachers in subjects like botany, zoology and history etc.
It must be noted that the faculties from Presidency Egmore Govt Higher Secondary School, GKM Colony govt model higher secondary school and Ramapuram Govt Higher Secondary School would undergo training by SCERT. Teachers would be equipped with an easy breakdown of topics for students and ways to simplify complex topics under the skill development training.
It must be recalled that in the academic year 2023-24 SCERT conducted comprehensive training programmes to equip primary and middle school heads and teachers etc with knowledge and skills. Point is that approximately 6000 teachers from primary and middle schools in TN were expected to benefit from this initiative. To enhance head teachers` managerial and pedagogical capabilities, the training programme was designed.
