For this upcoming festival season, Aavin has reduced the prices of 4.5litre ice-creams. This has caught the attention of many now. By this, Aavin would be giving a huge push to ice cream sales for the festival. With marriage season being a few days away, people have been booking ice-creams for the receptions and other important events.
As per an official belonging to TN Cooperative Milk Producers Federation, Aavin would be offering 4.5litre bricks of ice-cream for Rs 500 to Rs 520. With 4500ml of ice-cream, organisers would be able to serve around 50 people. The price of the ice cream blocks have been brought down by Rs 100 per block. For Rs 500 each, vanilla, strawberry and mango flavoured ice-creams of 4500 ml blocks can be purchased. Butterscotch, pista, badam and chocolate could be purchased for Rs 520 each.
Important piece of information is that vegetable fats are not used to prepare Aavin ice-creams and all the 75 types of ice-cream are made using pure milk. This was according to another official from Aavin. He added that people who require one or two blocks for smaller functions like birthdays etc could pick them up from the nearby Aavin parlours after booking them in advance.
Shelf life:
It is noteworthy that Aavin ice-creams have a shelf life of 6 months when they are stored properly. This would be a huge advantage for the event organisers etc. Point to be noted is that the federation has been looking for wholesale distributors of Aavin ice-cream. As it requires cold storage, power back up and chill trucks etc, the investment would be huge. There is also a sweet offer for those customers buying ice-cream sticks. It was mentioned that anyone who buys any two of the duets would get Rs 10 off. It must be noted that mini kulfi ice-creams of Aavin are also available throughout TN and the event organisers could opt for that also.
