Aspect of Women safety & security: Alarm buttons to be provided in Taxis!

Chennai Transport Department has planned to introduce new systems in call-taxis.
The plan includes uniform charges, digital meters fitted with GPS tracking, and alarm buttons on the passenger seats.
Alarm button is meant for the safety of women passengers..
This measure is following the recent news that a 27-year-old women travelling in hired taxi was raped in New Delhi.
The alarm button will be installed in every call-taxi in a short period.
