118 Aadhar centres to be set up in Tamil Nadu from 1st July!

Special camps are being organised in Tamil Nadu from 2013 for the distribution of Aadhar cards. A target for distribution of Aadhar cards for a total of 6.74 Crore persons was set. So far, only 4.74 Crore individuals have received Aadhar cards. Distribution of Aadhar cards for another 28 lakh persons is in progress.
In order to distribute Aadhar cards for the balance 1.72 Crore individuals, 521 permanent Aadhar centres have been functioning throughout Tamil Nadu. There are 72 permanent Aadhar centres operating in Chennai Metro.
As per the statistics on 10th June, 5.47 Aadhar cards have been registered and 5.1 Crores Aadhar cards have been distributed. 118 permanent Aadhar centres will be set up throughout Tamil Nadu from 1st July.
