Tamil Nadu CM announcement: Rs. 31 Crores allotted for government general hospital

Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Sessions are now in progress. It started day-before-yesterday (Monday, 24th August), resumed on Tuesday, 25th August. Chief Minister Jayalalithaa announced many new welfare schemes under Act 110. Chennai government general hospital is given funds – Rs. 25 Crores for buying new equipment  and other proects including building nurses’ quarters for Rs. 6 Crores. Chennai Medical College, Dental College, and Government Nurses’ College students and doctors expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister.

A press release regarding above: Tamil Nadu CM has allotted Rs. 25 Crores for the government general hospital to procure cancer imaging equipment, and Rs. 6 Crores for procurement of equipment for paralysis treatment, and hi9gh-tech genetic testing equipment at Rs. 10 Croresfor detection of genetic disorders among children.

Battery operated cars will be provided for all medical college hospitals at Rs. 2.5 Crores, Rs. 6 Crores for construction of Nurses’ quarters, Construction of New medical college at Pudhukkottai, Construction of new dental college in South Tamil Nadu, and Amma full-body test scheme, Amma special women’s full-body test scheme, Amma Health Scheme, and Amma maternity Sanjeevani Scheme have all been announced by the Chief Minister.

Led by Chennai Medical College Principal Dr. Vimala, House medical officers Dr. Ilango, Dr. Sheela, Dr. Raghunathan, & Dr. Narayanan and Cancer treatment department head and students distributed sweets to the public and the patients and celebrated this announcement.

Chennai Dental College headed by Principal Dr. Saravanan including vice-principal Dr. Shrimathi, Administration Officer Ms. Chandravadhani, and Government Nurses’ College headed by medical Education Director Dr. Geethalakshmi and additional director Dr. Lakshmi and students expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister and celebrated by distributing sweets.
