Mahalingapuram Sri Ayyappan temple comes alive for Fridays Makara Vilakku

Makara Vilakku utsavam will be celebrated on 15th at Mahalingapuram Sri Ayyappan temple. On Friday the temple will be opened at 1.15 A M. At 1.29 A M ( Magara Sangamam time) Sangarama ghee abhishekam will be performed to Lord Ayyappa. Again the temple will be re-opened at 4 A M. Maha Ganapathi Homam will be performed at 4.45 A M. From 6 A M to 8 A M, Aganda Ghee Abhishekam will be performed to Lord Ayyappa.
At 5 P M, Vilakku Pooja will be performed to Maaligai Purathu Amman. At 6.30 P M, Lord Ayyappan will be adorned with gold plate. Deeparadhana will be performed.
Devotees can view the Makara Vilakku at the giant screen erected.
