Posted on: 19/Jan/2017 11:01:03 AM
With Supreme Court and PETA imposing a strong ban on Jallikattu, there has been a heavy protest happening all over the state and even in many parts of the world, where the Tamilians are extending their voice of protest against the ban. Students across Tamil Nadu are involved in the relentless protest, especially at Marina Beach here in Chennai, where the students aren’t giving up even after 40 hours of continuous protest. With the night weather turning to be cold, nothing seems to have shattered their spirits.

Torch Light

The protest that commenced on Tuesday keeps prolonging day and night, where students aren’t provided with additional lights there for night time protection and safety, but they are supporting themselves with torch lights from cell phones. Some of them are even using the fire bundles to spark off the light. Students have been involved in the fasting without food and sleep out there.

Holidays announced for Colleges

Students involved in the protest are showcasing it in different means like swirling the fire bundles, raising slogans through rhymes and songs. To prevent any mishaps for the students during the protest, both private and Government colleges have granted interim holidays till the issues are sorted out. The circular was officially passed from Anna University that its league of colleges to be granted leave and the students should be vacated from the hostel rooms as well.

Strong decision of students

This is a mere plan to break the unity and integration among the students. Realizing the situation, students have strongly affirmed that nothing is going to break their spirits and stop them from going ahead.
