Police Department releases new regulations for the New Year

New Year has almost arrived. The youth are wild with plans to celebrate the arrival of the New Year in many different and unique ways.
Meanwhile, the Police Department, with concern, is exploring and executing steps to ensure that these New Year grand celebrations without any untoward incidents/accidents during the celebrations/
Accordingly, the Police Department organised a meeting with the owners of the Star Hotels in Chennai Metro City.
After this meeting, the regulations to be followed while celebrating the New Year were released.
- Conclude the New Year Celebration before 1.00 AM.
- Do not erect/set up stages/platforms on the swimming pools are nearby. Keep the swimming pools covered in a safe manner.
- Alcoholic beverages must be sold only during the permitted times. They should not be sold after 1.00 AM. The bars also should not function.
- Women Police must also be deployed during the New Year celebrations.
- The persons who had consumed excessive liquor must be taken home safely. In case the administration is short of vehicles, the Police Department can be informed.
