In the Chennai city, Tidel Park is highly famous place for IT companies and many come for their work every day here. The Tidel Park has got no provision to park the bicycles on their campus and this has made employees unhappy now. The fear of getting their bicycles stolen has made many stop using their bicycles to go to Tidel Park for their work.

A person who works in Tidel Park spoke his heart out. He spoke about how his e-cycle costs Rs 37,000 and how the place where the cycles were asked to be parked did not have CCTV cameras etc. The absence of security guard further makes it very difficult to park the bicycles.

It is known that Tidel Park is spread across 1.28 million square feet of land and is the first major initiative by the state government of TN to boost the IT industry. The main advantage is all the required and integrated services are provided at one particular location itself in this Tidel Park.

It is amazing to mention that as many as 12,000 employees work in various companies in this Tidel Park. The important point to be noted is 2 floors of buildings spread across 8 acres of land accommodates around 4000 cars and motorbikes. Those who use their bicycles find it difficult as they have to park their bicycles on the pavement near the south exit road of the building. The security guard is very busy hes not sufficient to take care of all the bicycles.

Important information is this lack of security for the bicycle parking has been informed to Mr. K. Gnanadesikan who is the additional chief secretary, Industries department and chairman of the Tidel Park. It is now brought out that the situation has not improved even little also. It was revealed by another employee that due to lack of adequate space to accommodate the bicycles in the parking area, he and others have been parking their bicycles outside.

Inspite of many requests to install CCTV cameras for the sake of security for the bicycles, nothing has been done. The employee later hinted that if the management of Tidel Park convert the parking place of 10 cars then as many as 100 bicycles could be placed there. He further explained about how their lack of interest in providing parking space for the bicycles are forcing the employees to use less Eco-friendly means of transport like cars, motorbikes etc.
