LT power supply consumers asked by Tangedco to pay their charges as per their previous bill

The Corona virus has been spreading like fire and day by day more number of persons are getting affected is known. The government of TN has been taking measures to prevent the spread of this Corona virus issue now.
In this aspect, Tangedco or Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Company had asked its consumers of LT or low tension power supply to pay their bills as per the previous billing cycle. This would be only if the billing personnel do not come this month to take the meter readings.
As per the release made by finance wing director of Tangedco it is clear that in the event of non-assessment or not taking the meter readings by the electricity billing officials from 22nd to 31st March 2020 the amount paid in the previous bill cycle might be taken as the assessment amount of March 2020. After ascertaining the meter reading in the next assessment, the payment would be adjusted.
It was brought out that low tension consumers could make use of online payment facilities such as internet banking, mobile banking, payment gateway, BBPS etc. By this, consumers would be able to avid visiting the payment counters. It is worthy to note that the consumers could pay their bills through the website www.tangedco.gov.in and TNEB app on Google play store.
To prevent the spread of Corona virus, disinfectants would be sprayed at the counters. The officials and workers of Tangedco have been informed about this already and awareness has been created among the employees of Tangedco regarding hand washing etc.
