What took many by surprise was a photograph of a vehicle owner searching his hey from a pile of thousands of keys. More vehicles were seized by the Sholavaram police because Sholavaram in Tiruvallur district is on the border of Greater Chennai police jurisdiction as many went to other districts. Truth is the police personnel have dumped thousands of keys of the seized vehicles in a corner of a police station.
This has resulted in the difficulty for the vehicle owners in finding their suitable keys. It was later mentioned by a traffic SI that the keys of the seized vehicles were kept in a date wise manner in different polyethylene covers to avoid confusion.
