The mini-clinics in Chennai have been doing superb work for the public!!
The GCC has stated that as many as1291 patients have visited the 55 mini-clinics in Chennai. It is now said that GCC would be inaugurating another 145 mini-clinics in Chennai city. In the Tondiarpet zone, as many as 2722 have visited 4 mini-clinics.
It is worth mentioning that the civic body was responsible for setting up of these mini-clinics at the corporation buildings including divisional offices, community centres etc in Chennai.
First mini-clinic:
On 14th December 2020, the first mini-clinic was opened in Chennai for the people. On 1st of January alone, as many as 1218 out=patients have visited the mini-clinics. Information collected is that among the 55 mini-clinic that have been functioning in Chennai 1407 patients have visited the mini-clinic at Old MLA office at Vyasarpadi in the Tondiarpet.
Doctors, nurses and the workers have been employed by GCC and these persons would be treating the patients at the mini-clinics from 9 am to 11am and from 4pm to 7 pm. There would be mini-clinics at the places near the areas where most of the construction workers and migrant labourers live. In each of the 200 divisions, the civic body wants to have one mini-clinic in the future.
