The prevailing system over the sea has resulted in the rains in the last few days in some districts in Tamil Nadu.

It is now revealed that from the next week onwards the maximum temperatures will increase in Chennai and it`s suburbs. This could be due to changes in the wind conditions.

The Regional Meteorological Dept in Chennai has informed that it was early to forecast the increase in the temperatures but some interior districts would witness an increase in the temperatures.

As per Mr. Senthamarai Kannan from RMC in Chennai it was clear that the moisture saturated over the sea has led to the fall in the minimum temperature.
There is cold weather now in the north coastal and in the delta districts in TN. Point is that in the second week of February the temperature would increase gradually and record moderate temperature. He pointed out that from 3rd February onwards there would b dry weather.

From 20th March onwards, the summer would start in Chennai and the city and its suburbs would have maximum temperatures more than the normal.
There would be light rains in the next 48 hours in the southern parts of the state.
For the next 2 days, Chennai would have a maximum temp of 31 degrees Celsius and minimum temp of 24 degrees Celsius.

There would be strong winds of 40kmph to 55kmph along the south TN coast over the Cape Coumorin area in Kanniyakumari and Gulf of Mannar. Till 4th February, the fishermen have been advised not to go into the sea.
