All packed food including milk, water packet, tea and masala packets to be examined

Bihar and Uttar Pradesh governments have filed a case in their respective courts stating that while reviewing the products like Magi Noodles, it contained excessive lead and Mono Sodium Glutamate and because of this many people have been suffering from various diseases. Following this, the Food  Safety  and  Standards  Authority has ordered Nestle India to take back its 9 varieties of its noodles.
 
Now Tamil Nadu Government has ordered its officials to examine the milk packets, water packets, water cans  and tea powder packets.
 
The Tamil Nadu food safety commissionerate on Tuesday advised its district officers to lift samples of leading brands of noodles and pastas with tastemaker, milk, water packet, tea and masala packets and take action as per provisions of the Food Safety and Standards (FSS) Act if they are found to be violating safety standards.
