Tea and coffee price to be hiked too

Private milk price is hiked by Rs 2. This in turn will reflect in price of tea and coffee in kiosks and hotels. In most cities including Chennai, all tea shops and hotels make use of private milk supplies.
Aavin milk gets distributed for domestic needs and hospitals. In fact, these are sold in retail stores only at confined times. But private milk supply is available at any time of the day.
Due to price hike of private milk, it is likely that hotel business will get affected. Speaking to a member of tea sellers association, Sukumar, he says most of the tea shops make use of private milk. This price hike of private milk will certainly reflect in these business. There is such frequent price hike.
We buy 40 litres of milk every day. This price hike has resulted in excess charge of Rs 80 per day. This counts to Rs 2400 per month. This is likely to cause hike in price of coffee and tea. We are awaiting to make decision in this regard. In a few days, tea and coffee prices are to get hiked in Chennai city.
