Arasu Cable TV services - HD Set-top Box to be introduced by end of January

Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable TV Corporation Limited is set to introduce HD (High Definition) Set-top boxes in Tamil Nadu. Further, it is also introducing a facility for prepaid plans.
An official from Arasu Cable TV Corporation Limited explained regarding the above news that with a view to improving the quality of reception/service, it has been decided to provide HD connections,
For a monthly payment of Rs. 225, apart from the normal 380 channels, 30 HD quality channels will be available. To avail this, an additional 18% has to be paid as the GST. Arasu Cable TV is also set to introduce prepaid plans. In order to repair the set-top boxes or replace them, a service centre is being set up in each district. This has reduced the number of customer complaints.
