On 14th March 2021, Chennai recorded its HIGHEST temperature - Equinox on 21st March

The heat and humidity has been increasing slowly now in Chennai!!
On Sunday, 14th March, the city of Chennai recorded its highest temperature in the year 2021.
The temperature of 35.1 degrees Celsius was recorded on that day. It has been mentioned by some weather experts and bloggers that the temperatures in Chennai and in TN would be higher this week and the weather would be dry and humid. It must be recalled that on 3rd of March 2021 Chennai recorded its previous highest temperature of 34.3 degrees Celsius.
Chennai weather blogger Mr. Pradeep John was of the view that it has been a good March month in the recent times and the temperatures would remain around 33.5 degrees Celsius to 35.5 degrees Celsius in the 7 days. He explained how the pressure in the Bay and clear skies etc would make us feel the heat with lesser humidity. Until 18th march, Chennai city and TN would have dry weather and this was according to some officials belonging to RMC Chennai. On19th March, there might be some light rains over the southern districts in TN.
The RMC officer later threw light on the clear skies that would be present in Chennai for the next 48 hours. Information is that the maximum temperature would be around 35 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature around 24 degrees Celsius.
The weather bloggers have pointed out that with summer months nearing northern districts would receive little rains in the March month. It is interesting to note that on 21st March there would be March equinox and it would be the day when the sun rays touch the equator and start moving across the northern hemisphere. It is now said that the equinox would bring the summer months for the Indian subcontinent and also the rains.
As per the weather blogger Mr. K. Srikanth, dry and warm weather is likely to prevail over TN and there would not be rains. He added that until the end of March there would be no major rains likely. It is well known to us that Mr. Srikanth is running his page Chennai Rains.
