From the earlier 57 MRTS services that were operated on the Chennai Beach-Velachery route, Southern Railways or SR would be operating 70 trains from 13th of August 2021. This was mentioned in the statement from SR.
It is now confirmed that during the weekdays from Monday to Saturday a total of 656 services would be operated in the Chennai suburban areas and this would be with the introduction of additional workmen specials in the MRTS section. Point is that earlier, 630 services were operated in this.
From 15th of August, a total of 48 trains would be operated in the Beach-Velachery section. Previously, there were 38 trains on this route. According to the statement from SR it was clear that on Sundays from 15th August a total of 456 services would be operated in the Chennai suburban areas with the introduction of additional workmen specials in the MRTS section.
From 16th August 2021, there would be trains operated daily between Mangalore and Madgaon. It is important to note that train 06602 would be leaving Mangalore Central at 5:30 am and it would reach Madgaon at 14:00pm on the same day until further advice. In the same manner, train 06601would leave Madgaon on 16TH August at 14:30 pm and it would reach Mangalore Central at 21:40pm on the same day.
As per another statement released by Southern Railways, advance reservation for the train with 10 general second class coaches and 2 luggage cum brake vans would open from 8am on 12th August 2021.
