The metro train passengers have now got a superb reason to rejoice!!
To help the metro train passengers, CMRL is now planning to operate 20 more mini buses from the metro stations in Chennai. Selection of routes is now going on. Every day, 2.5lakhs to 2.8 lakhs use metro trains to reach their destinations in the city is known. Now, CMRL is taking huge efforts to make more people use metro trains. The connectivity vehicle facility is now given importance by the CMRL authorities.
At present from the metro stations in Chennai many shared autos, mini buses, battery operated autos are operated to help the passengers. Now, as many as 22 mini buses are in operation. This was as per some officers from CMRL. In the next phase, additional 20 mini buses would be operated from various metro stations in Chennai. Route selection activity has been going on now for this.
It is now mentioned that the final list about routes would be issued to CMRL in the first week of October. On the behalf of MTC, additional mini buses would be operated from various metro stations in the city.
