Chennai metro bus pass fares details to be released soon

The officials of the Chennai Metro Transport Corporation informed that the revised fares for the 10 days, weekly, and monthly passes will be announced in a day or 2.
For the benefit of passengers in the Chennai Metro buses, 3 types of bus passes are presently being issued – Rs. 50 (1-day), Rs. 300 (1-week), and Rs. 1000 (1-month). These passes would be beneficial to those passengers who need to travel by more than 1-bus to different destinations.
However, these passes will not be valid in the Chennai Metro Air conditioned buses.
Meanwhile, as the revised fares for the above 3 bus passes have not been announced, the bus-passes could not be issued yesterday (Sunday, 21st January). Thousands of passengers were disappointed due to this.
The officials explained that the revised fares for the 3 types of bus passes have not been decided.
As the decision on the revised bus-pass fares is in progress, it may be announced in a day or 2. It is expected that it may be 60% more than the present rates.
