Seeds sales camp in Chennai today

Under the title Aadip pattam thedi vidhai (it is the right time to sow the seeds during the Tamil calendar month of Aadi), a special sales camp is being organized from today (Friday, 29th July) till 29th July in the Chennai Metro City on behalf of the Tamil Nadu State Government’s Department of Horticulture selling the plant seeds.
The special seeds sale camps are being organized in the following places:
Pudhur (adjacent to Ambattur), Thangal Lake Park, Perambur Murasoli Maran Park, Anna Nagar Tower Park, Mylapore Nageswara Rao Park, and T.Nagar Natesan Park.
The seeds for growing brinjal (eggplant), Okra (Ladyfinger or Vendaikkai in Tamil), radish, tomato and several varieties of greens will be sold in the above fair.
A packet of seeds containing the seeds for 5 different plants is being sold at a subsidised price of Rs. 12 in place of the original cost of Rs. 20 per packet.
The Public, service volunteers, nature enthusiasts, service organizations, Residential Association members, and the school students (boys and girls) can best avail this opportunity to further their interest in horticulture.
Further, the consultancy for setting up roof-gardens in residences will be available.
