By the month of July in 2023, work to form a 4.1 km long road to a new industrial park at Manallur in Gummidipoondi in Tiruvallur district would be completed.
It is now said that there would be space available for sustainable development of synthetic organic chemicals and integrated paint industries. This industrial park promoted by SIPCOT is known. The 4.1km road would lnk the Kavaraipettai-Sathyavedu Road on the Gummidipoondi-Madharpakkam Road.
Now, grubbing of the road is being carried out along with the alignment of 4 lane road. This was pointed out by some sources from the Highways department. For the road project, an amount of Rs 54.41 cr would be spent.
The source explained that about 300m of land would have to be purchased for the road and the property belongs to the private party. It added that negotiations would have to be held for getting the land.
For effective resources and residue management, the activities of synthetic organic chemicals processing industries would be regulated. The superb piece of information is that the proposed industrial park would be the first of its kind in TN. For the sake of least pollution footprint, the industrial park is being envisaged on 286.085 hectares of land.
